Sunday Giants Minor League Hitting Coach Eddie Taubensee shared how God prepares us to do good works:

“I believe God has prepared me for this moment to lead and teach these young men in baseball to get to where they need to go. He did this by first allowing me to play sixteen years of professional ball and the next fifteen years out of the game to raise three boys.”

Tuesday Cincinnati Bengals Chaplain LaMorris Crawford showed us what Discipleship Talk looks like:

“Everyone is building their lives on something. That something may be money, fame, comfort, security, etc… But Jesus gives us the materials with which we are to build our lives for eternal hope and security. These materials are not for a temporary escape from the storm, they’re lasting.”

Wednesday we watched Baltimore Orioles first baseman Chris “Crush” Davis share how his greatest weakness was turned into an instrument for God’s glory.

“Oftentimes, as baseball players, we think we need to live up to this standard that is set for a professional athlete, but it’s good for me to take a step back and share my struggles with others. It means a lot to me to be able to share what I’ve gone through; hopefully I am able to relate to others who have gone through similar circumstances. This is a tool for me to serve God and be reminded of why I am here—what my role is in the game of baseball.”

Thursday Retired Giants pitcher Dave Dravecky talked about the power of experiencing grace in a whole new way this Easter:

“Though I’ve been a Christ-follower for 36 years now, it’s only been recently that I’ve really began to understand the magnitude of God’s grace for me. I’ve known about this grace, I’ve recited Ephesians 2:8-9 countless times, but today I’m more amazed by His grace than ever before.”

Friday we watched Miami Marlins’ pitcher Adam Conley share how God prepared him to bring hope into a time of great darkness:

“This was a moment that I was preparing for without knowing that I was preparing for it…through fellowship, through studying the Word of God…to speak boldly about the truths and the treasure that I hold.”
