Becky York
Originally from New Hampshire, I am now living in Colorado with my husband, where I work as PAO’s Community Manager. I am passionate about spreading the Gospel and about sports. What better way is there to share the love of Jesus than through our America’s favorite pastimes?
I also have a great love for worshiping God through music. My husband and I have the privilege of co-leading the music ministry at our local church in Aurora, Colorado.
Five Increase Questions
What effect does your faith have on your lifestyle?
My faith in Jesus Christ permeates every aspect of my life. Jesus Christ died to give me life and the life I live is for Him! Whether I am at home with my husband, at work, church or out running errands, I live by faith that Christ has a greater purpose for my life than I could imagine or plan on my own.
Describe how your Journey with Christ began.
I was blessed to grow up in a strong Christian family. My parents and four older siblings have always been a huge influence in my faith in God. I gave my life to Christ at a young age and seek to grow closer to Him daily through reading the Word of God and praying to Him for guidance and leadership in my life. I’ve failed many times in my walk with Christ, but through His grace and forgiveness, I learn to lean on Him through the good times and the rough ones as well.
Who have been the mentors in your life? How did God bring these people into your life?
My mom and dad have been amazing role models and mentors for me throughout my life. I’ve watched them go through incredible journeys of faith, always trusting in God through struggles and celebrations. I am so fortunate to have the Godly parents that I have. As the youngest of 5 kids, I also have been able to watch and learn from my two older brothers and older sisters. Each one of them has been incredible witnesses of Christ’s love to me.
What does the Increase of Christ mean to you?
I am so glad that I have been put on this earth for a greater purpose than myself! God’s plan for my life is for me to be a part of a greater mission to spread the Gospel of Christ’s love and salvation to the world, what an honor that is! With this aim, I want to become less so that Christ may increase. I only hope that I can be a glimpse of Christ’s love to others so that He may be glorified.
What is your life verse and why?
2 Timothy 1.7 “For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power, love, and self-control.” John 3:30 “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
