“What more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies.” — Hebrews 11:32-34
God is able to use anyone who is ready and willing to use their faith. Faith simply is taking God’s Word and putting it into action. It has nothing to do with how you feel or what others think or say about you. God’s Word teaches that if you are willing to use your faith, God is willing to use you. No matter how others may respond to your God-given dream, nothing can stop you from pursuing that dream! With God on your side, you are fully equipped for the work He has for you to do. The only way to disqualify yourself from your dreams is to stop believing in the God who is inside of you, empowering you to accomplish the impossible.
“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” — 1 John 4:4
If you stop believing the God inside of you, when the battle comes, you will experience a panic attack, become fearful and lose the battle. Once you lose the battle on the inside, the battle on the outside becomes unconquerable. You have to ask yourself, “What is the real battle going on? What is at stake?”
“As it is written: ‘For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.’ No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” — Romans 8:36-37
The word “conquer” has a twofold meaning: to conquer by power, and/or to be in personal conflict with yourself until greatness comes out. Before you can conquer your dreams, you must first learn to conquer yourself! It is time to win the battle between your spirit and your flesh. The prize up for grabs is your God-given dream.
