In Action and In Word: Ryan Ledbetter

Minor League pitcher, Ryan Ledbetter, enters Spring Training 2016 with an eager anticipation for what God has for him—both in his baseball career and his call to live out the Gospel. Having spent last season pitching for the High Desert Mavericks, he’s not sure what the next step is for him but he’s trusting God to carry him there.

“Life is too short to be preoccupied with the pleasures and anxieties of this life,” says Ryan.

In order for Ryan to fully trust God with his future both inside the baseball stadium and outside, he has found peace and guidance in knowing God and seeking Him through His Word.

“If we want to get out of our troubles—,” he proclaims, “if we want to live in the power of the Spirit—it is important that we allow the Word to cut into our hearts and change us.”

“For the Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” -Hebrews 4:12
