Increase Week in Review 1/30-2/3

Want to catch up on the latest articles by the pros from the past week? Here’s what they had to say:

Monday Cincinnati Bengals Chaplain LaMorris Crawford talked about the right way to ask, “So What Now?”

“In order for us to experience God in this way—to know the fullness of joy in his presence—we need to get in His Word and be in prayer with Him. It was a hard Christmas Eve this year when the doctor sat down with me and my wife and told her, ‘It’s not good news…You have MS.’ It felt like a scene right out of a movie. Why was this happening to us? We have a fruitful ministry, we have souls to save for Jesus, we have four kids…What does this mean?”

Tuesday MLB pitcher J.J. Hoover shared how his recent trip to Africa opened his eyes to making the most of every day:

“I don’t know how much time I have, I don’t know how much time other people have. We don’t even know if we will make it to bed tonight. Time is a precious resource that God has given to us and I want to spend it all to bring God glory.”

Wednesday Cleveland Browns linebacker Demario Davis explained just how intentional he plans to be during the off-season:

“This also was a really big year for God teaching me to trust in Him. I’ve always been someone who likes to catch a vision and then sprint full speed ahead, working hard to get there. Instead of catching a piece of His vision and running with it, I need to trust in God’s plan and walk with Him.”

Thursday Tampa Bay Rays right fielder Steven Souza shared how life has changed for him since becoming a father:

“Prayer has also become much more important in my life recently. Mikaela and I have been focusing not only on praying more often, but praying more specifically. Charles Spurgeon talks about making your prayers like arrows, direct and purposeful. We are praying for specific things with the faith and confidence that God will answer.”

Friday NFL fullback Tyler Clutts talked about making the switch:

“I’ve been fortunate enough to play the game I love for thirty-two years. I’m not counting on being in the NFL again. If that happens, great, but I’m also going to pursue what’s next for me. I want to focus on what God is putting in front of me instead of remaining fixed on what is behind me or what might never be.”
