Favorite Verse:

My favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 which says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” I cling to this verse because this is exactly what I need to be reminded of daily. I need to trust in Him regardless of how I feel or what I desire.

Favorite Trick:

The Pete Rose — basically you approach the wake on your toe side and launch off as if you were doing a gainer off a diving board, then add a frontside 360. It’s not the hardest, most technical trick, but it’s really fun and it looks really cool.

Hardest Trick to Master:

There are plenty of tricks I haven’t mastered now that the sport has progressed so much. I was the first person to land a wake-to-wake double flip — the trick I had always dreamed of doing in a competition. I tried it multiple times in competitions without landing it and then finally did outside of competitions. It was a moment of pure celebration. In action sports, the progression of the sport is everything. Being able to do something no one else has done yet is a big deal. It’s all about pushing the envelope.

Favorite Place to Wakeboard:

I’ve been all over the world and it’s been amazing to see new places. I’ve even wakeboarded in Alaska, jumping over icebergs and in front of glaciers. But the answer is home. There’s something about being on the water at my own house in Clermont, Florida — it’s my favorite place to be.
