Former Pro Baseball Player, Will Startup, always pictured himself pitching in the major leagues for the long run. Life took a different turn for Will and his family when he pitched his last pro game and headed back home to Georgia.
“I found myself in a brotherhood that I never wanted to be a part of,” Will admits. “Something I thought hard work and God-given talent could keep me from. I found myself in the brotherhood of ‘has-beens,’ ‘couldn’t hack-its,’ ‘not good-enoughs’… minor leaguers that never made it. I had to swallow the reality that I would never be a major league baseball player.”
Find out how Will has decided to take this new opportunity to share the Gospel and choose joy in life’s unexpected circumstances.
